Journey of Luck

Through the principle of Interconnectedness within the teachings of Logical Spirituality, we explained that every living being is connected to one another through visible and invisible bonds. Within the harmony of nature, every action we choose is aligned with both our previous and our future choices. The balance within the connection between our actions is maintained by the principle of Justice in Nature. The consequences of the intentions behind our earlier choices are reflected in our next actions. In this journey of life, we interpret the negative situations we encounter as bad luck, and the positive ones as being lucky.

For our luck to be lasting, we must live in harmony with our environment (nature) and preserve good intentions in our relationships. Just as illnesses arise in our bodies due to negative actions, every situation in which we feel unlucky aims to offer us guidance. As our actions shift toward healthier choices, we regain the luck we need in our life journeys.

When interpreting the element of luck that arises from our choices, rather than taking an egocentric approach, it leads to healthier results if we evaluate the wholeness of the relationships in our lives. Let me try to explain what our “luck” is actually showing us by interpreting one of the most frequently played games: UNO.

UNO! is a table (card) game. It is played with at least two players. The aim of the game is to finish the cards in your hand before everyone else. In this card game, there are a total of 112 cards in four different colors (yellow, blue, green, red). Each color includes numbers from 0 to 9. In addition, there are five types of cards that do not carry numbers. When a player has no cards left in hand, the round ends and that person becomes the winner. While playing the game, each player reflects their own set of meanings (their life experience) onto their choices. Some make choices carefully; others choose without much thought. While playing UNO, you can try assigning meanings from your life to each color and make your selections accordingly. When your intention in each choice is positive, your level of luck increases. Every choice made with negative intentions reduces your luck in the game.

At any moment in the game, if you realize (or sense) that the player next to you has recalled a trauma related to the color green, and you have to choose between two different colors, your journey of luck in the game will progress more positively if you direct your intention toward a color other than green—the one that is not associated with that person’s trauma. Seeing the other players not as “enemies” but as “competitors” will likewise contribute to a more positive journey.

If you know that another player is thirsty, even choosing green instead of blue so that the color blue does not remind them of water can be an example of goodwill. The intentions behind your choices may be shaped by your own knowledge or life experience; your set of meanings may not overlap with that of the other person. What matters is whether your intention is positive or negative. By focusing on the choices of the other players and reflecting what you know about them into your intentions in a positive way, you can increase your chances of winning the game with the cards you draw.

A player who wins a round while playing UNO is the one who had the best intentions in that round. The person with the highest score at the end of the game is the best person in that game. Since nothing in nature is random, you should remember how good a person you are when your luck is favorable. Being aware of the divine power that determines which card you choose in the games you play becomes a factor that beautifies your journey. When you lose one or several rounds of the game, continue to preserve your good intentions.

The next time you play UNO or another game, you can try observing the intentions that shape your journey of luck. Remember, the saying “may the good one win” is a meaningful statement that applies to all games and throughout the entire game.

I wish everyone good luck! 💚
